Join Dr. Janet Rosenzweig and Mike Nowlin for a free virtual gathering on a hot topic: Youth with Problematic Sexual Behavior on Sex Offender Registries: Risk or Benefit?
For over 20 years, states have placed juveniles on sex offender registries and subjected them to community notification. This gathering will review current research on youth with problematic sexual behavior and the harm and impact of registration.
ACEs Health Champions Gathering will be shown virtually on Thursday, February 20 from 12-1:00 pm PST. -

Mike Nowlin, MSSA, LISW-S and Nan Beeler, MSW will present a session at the 32nd APSAC Colloquium in New Orleans on June 24th. Their session, “Enhancing Child Welfare Workforce Resilience: Supervisory Strategies to Combat Staff Burnout & Turnover” will focus on evidence-based strategies to support supervisors in maintaining a well-trained and supported team.

Janet Rosenzweig, PhD, MS, MPA and Mike Nowlin, MSSA, LISW-S will present a workshop at the 32nd APSAC Colloquium in New Orleans on June 25, 2025. Their session, “Promoting Justice, Safety and Fairness: What Happened When One State Stopped Placing Juveniles on Sex offender Registries?” will explore the history of youth with problematic sexual behavior being placed on adult sex offender registries, show outcomes of a state that stopped this practice, and share practical steps to advocate for system change.
